This is a terrific appliance. The stainless version is quite elegant, and it’s extremely light weight and easy to clean. The cooking settings are accurate, and the warm mode very useful. When doing something delicate like roasted vegetables with little liquid, it does a great job with no scorching.
I particularly like the fact that you can do a meatloaf in a metal pan (to keep the meatloaf shape), and just set the pan into the slow cooker. Unbelievably easy cleanup, and the meatloaf is moist with a nice crust.
I have owned a few crock pots over the years, including programmable models. My love affair with them has had highs and lows depending where I have been in my life. If I have the time I don’t mind cooking with one exception: I don’t like to hang over a stove and deal with a time consuming dish because I will invariably lose my appetite by the time the food gets to the table. This is where the humble crock pot has really come in handy. I use it for soups, roasts, stews, chilis, fricasses, meatballs, and even pot pies. The only thing I rarely use it for is dessert.
A basic crock pot is best for my needs. If it has 3 or 4 temperature settings, I am good to go. This pot manages to retain the temperature consistently. Food does not dry out because the lid has a tight seal. Clean-up is easy. The ceramic pot is impervious to steel wool(if you choose to use it). The stainless steel exterior requires a quick damp sponging and nothing else. The lid only can be used with the hinge when transporting. This is a nifty feature and I use it for family potlucks quite a bit.
The best aspect? Good, wholesome meals with minimal effort and great results. My husband loves crock pot leftovers better on the second day. The flavors tend to meld and meals such as stuffed peppers are even better. Needless to say, the crock goes from the fridge to the pot for a quick warm-up.
I’m sure there are other comparable models that do the job just as well. The grabber for me was the locking lid, but it performs well when it goes no further than my kitchen. Hamilton Beach 52282R Wave-Power BlendMaster 12-Speed Blender Burnt Plastic Smell – Tangerize Store – NY, NY
I wasn’t going to write about this product but I saw another reviewer mention the electrical or burnt plastic/rubber smell. I noticed that as well and wanted to inform potential customers about this issue.
I originally purchased this from a nearby store for a good price. The glass jar was large and sturdy. The based of this glass fit in nicely to the motor so there’s no worry about slippage or such.
We made two smoothies with this machine and it broke large ice cubes with no problem. The drinks were consistent and well blended.
The major issue we had was the electrical smell. It happened the first time we used it as well as the second time. I didn’t think this is regular at all and rather than take a risk of it breaking down or causing a fire I returned it from where I purchased it.

I bought this Hamilton Beach Blender 2 months aso and it works perfectly for me.The glass jar is good quality so I stopped to worry about blending hot soups that can broke the plastic jar.I’m so happy with my purchase.
Bought this blender the other day at WalMart (for much less than 31.95). We used it to make a batch of Mudslides and they turned out great! No ice chunks at all and very smooth consistency. The blender base is nice and heavy….very sturdy. The jar is heavy duty glass and the whole thing comes apart very easily to go in the dishwaher. A great buy for the price. Highly recommended!! I ordered this filter because it showed the TrueAir logo printed right on the filter. I know all filters are not the same and I wanted to make sure I was getting the original that came with the purifier, because it works great. I was very disappointed when it arrived. The filter is a very cheap one made with wire and I am sure it won’t work as well. They should not show the logo if it is not the real thing.

Hamilton Beach 6 Speed 225 Watts Hand / Stand Mixer with Glass Bowl Find something better. – kiwanissandy – Heart of Ohio
I have had this set for over a year now and couldn’t be more unhappy with it. The mixer does not reach the bottom of the glass bowl so regardless you still have to mix by hand to get all the flour and other ingredients off the bottom of the bowl. The mixer gets bogged down easily and between speeds of 3 and 4 it just stops. There’s apparently a short between those speeds but if you giggle the switch it will work again.
The bowl is extremely heavy glass so once you’ve mixed your ingredients it’s very difficult to man-handle the bowl to tilt it to get the ingredients poured in your pans. The beaters come out while mixing. I’ve pushed and pushed them in but once you lift the head the beaters often stay in the bowl. Not every time but enough that it’s aggravating to have to dig your beaters out of wet cake mix.
I don’t have a recommendation for something better. I’ll keep using this one because I just can’t afford another one. But I do recommend you pass on this one and find better luck with another brand.

Bought mine at Walmart for the same price. I got what I PAID for.
Every time I mix with this I have to do extra work with a spatula to move the dough around inside mixer for it to mix accordingly. It is very useful for someone that bakes occasionally and for fun. I bake every other day! so this item was not for me. I will invest in getting a Kitchen Aid electronic mixer.

Hamilton Beach 25450 Gourmet Panini Press Was a great appliance for a while… – M. Wheeler – Molalla, OR United States
I was very excited to get this press as an upgrade from another brand (with a smaller surface). I loved it for the first few months. It heated quickly (those who find it doesn’t get hot/melt things must have a faulty unit), made sandwiches (and a few other things) to perfection, and aside from being slightly more difficult to clean than my previous one it was great.
Unfortunately, only a few months in the clip that holds the unit closed fell off. And the non-stick surface? Nice, but it didn’t last long. It’s already wearing off in the grooves and I’ve never used metal or any other damaging utensil on it.
I’ve had this unit for just over a year and am already looking at having to replace it.
I’d recommend it in some aspects (nice sized surface, heats well, cooks quickly), but not in others. If you’re looking for a press/grill that will only get minor use, then this may be the unit for you. If you want a work horse, a press that you use once a week or more, you might want to check around.
I bought this for a friend who had never used a panini machine. I picked this one because of the way the lid pivoted, allowing for even pressure on thick or thin sandwiches. My friend loves the machine and I looked pretty good for picking this one out. The only thing that would make it better would be removable grills so she could wash them in the sink. As it is, it’s one of those “wipe it off” things and you never really get it clean that way. The filter definitely works. My son’s room was redone and is quite clean (new carpets, new paint, etc.). Yet, run this humidifier every night for a couple weeks, and the filter gets pretty dirty. Forget to replace it for another week or so, and it gets nasty. Forget any longer, and it smells like ___!
I like the size of this humidifier/vaporizor, but it is a little noisier than I expected. I could not find the filters instore anywhere, which was very annoying but I think I saw them at WalMart recently. We run the vaporizor almost 24 hrs a day since our baby girl was born 2.5 yrs ago and I have used 4 filters. It’s good for white noise too. Just remember to run it dry each time to make the filter last longer and prevent mildew from growing in the container. I received this product as a Christmas gift in 2009. My husband bought it in November of that year. I have used this several times since opening it, and I noticed that the temperature setting was different than what I thought I had set it to. I thought I was confused about what I had set it to. It was new and maybe I didn’t do something right. Well, after using it about 6 times, it now shuts off completely for no reason and the temperature setting changes constantly. I also didn’t like how hot the outside of the crockpot gets. I have a rival crock pot and it got warm to the touch but never burn yourself hot. This just can’t be trusted. Do not buy this product!

My previous slow cooker finally cracked after more than 10 years of use, so this time I was willing to spend a little extra for a model with nice features, and the reviews for this one were overwhelmingly positive. I absolutely loved this for the first month or so when it worked, but then I started coming home to cold, raw food and didn’t like it so much anymore. The first few times I thought maybe I screwed something up. But then it kept happening where I had about an 80% failure rate, and some mornings it would turn off within the first 45 minutes. I originally bought this from a retail store, and unfortunately I didn’t keep any of the packing, warranty, or receipt, so I just had to throw out the whole thing and go buy something else within 5 months of purchasing.
If you buy this, keep a frozen pizza on-hand so you can still have something to eat for dinner when it doesn’t work.
Before I bought this one, I had a smaller, round crockpot, which worked fine for us when the kids were little. But fast forward a few years and add a few more boys to the mix and my old crock pot just wasn’t working for us.
I actually purchased this model at Costco about 4 years ago, and I have to say-I LOVE IT! The oval shape makes it more conducive to larger pieces of meat. I don’t often use the temperature probe, but when I have I have had no problem getting an accurate reading. It is easy to program, and very user friendly.
This was well worth the money, and sees a lot of use in my house. I love the practicality of a 4 slice toaster; it is light, easy to clean and was well priced. However, this toaster is very slow to toast. I keep the setting on “5″ (the darkest) and that is for normal toasting. Also, I dislike the short electrical cord.
This toaster is great. You have complete control to set lightness/darkness. It looks great in my kitchen.I also love the bagel settings so I am able to get the cut side browned.
